Iconic building of the Ferrero industrial headquarters in Alba (CN)
The building includes the functions of a workshop on the ground floor, a technical floor on the mezzanine and high standard offices on the first floor, combining the different uses with the flexibility of the spaces effected by a steel structure over large grid lines (7.2 x 24, 5 m). The building is completed by a 18 m high reception hall; an unconventional and aerial staircase, developed from the architectural design, is are enclosed as well as terraces for cafes overhanging with free spans in excess of 6.0 m.
THE FERRERO TECHNICAL CENTER HAS BEEN AWARDED THE 2023 SUSTAINABILITY PRIZE IN THE BUILDING - EX NOVO CATEGORY
The Sustainability Award, now in its 10th edition, is promoted by AESS - Agency for Energy and Sustainable Development as part of the 20th edition of the Bio Architecture and Sustainability Week. The Award recognizes the best green architecture in Italy and aims to highlight good practices that had followed the building principles of bio-architecture, energy saving and nature-based solutions in urban settings.
