The standard notions that drove high-rise construction historically have been upended. It is no longer a given that office workers will commute to the center city five days a week. The retail landscape is uncertain. Supply chains have proven fragile. Access to fresh air, light and the outdoors are bare-minimum requirements for office and residential tenants alike. Amidst these challenges, tall buildings continue to rise, and adapt.
