Sign Board ”CROWN” PWC Tower in Citylife, Milan
The structure that marks the tower top, dubbed “crown”, is composed of steel work elements.
The outer members of this structure feature a pattern that matches the façade shape and support it.
The vertical members that are connected over the tower roof inclined plane are braced by a system of horizontal stringers adding stiffness to the structure.
Additional bracing members are located on the East side and the stiffness of the system results from the convergency in the end points of the stabilizing elements (stringers and braces) that transfers the actions to the reinforced concrete core through the 30th level floor and the one where the BMU (Building Manteinance Unit) is located.
