MINeC OFFICE PARK IN VIMODRONE, Milan
Two medium rise buildings for offices with a surface of around 18000 m2 each for offices, and 10500 for parking; each of the building has two underground stories also, extended outside the projection of the elevated constructions.
The scheme of the buildings features an octagonal plan shape with a central lift and stair core.
The level use destinations are parking in the two underground stories, offices in the nine above ground stories, mechanical equipment in additional four stories located in overhanging cylindrical volumes on top of the central core; the maximum height is 58.5 m.
The cores and the underground stories are built in reinforced concrete. The superstructure is made by a compoiste frame: steel columns, composite beams and hollow prestressed precast slabs for the floors.
The typical grid lines are set at 7,60 by 7,60 m in the underground and up to 9.00 m in the towers, with a 250mm thickness of the precast concrete deck and steel sections from 450 to 550 mm deep.
Special design care has been given to the demanding requirements of the Architecture.
